A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC 243 according to Ariel Helwai of ESPN as #6 Al Iaquinta is going to be in action against #14 Dan Hooker.
Iaquinta (14-5-1) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Kevin Lee at UFC On Fox 31. Iaquinta has previously challenged for the UFC Lightweight Title, losing to champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223. Iaquinta has seen his last three professional MMA bouts go the distance and it has been over two years since the fighter got a finish.
Hooker (18-8-0) has won five of his last six in the UFC, with the latest victory coming over James Vick via first round knockout at UFC Fight Night San Antonio. Hooker has won two of three pay-per-view card fights in the UFC, picking up victories at UFC 219 and UFC 226, while suffering a defeat at UFC 192. Hooker has suffered eight losses as a professional MMA fighter and five of those came by way of decision.
