Report: Alejandra Lara Faces Veta Arteaga At Bellator 235

A women’s flyweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 235 as Alejandra Lara is going to be in action against Veta Arteaga

MMA Junkie first reported the bout, but its placement on the card isn’t known at this time.

Lara (8-3-0) has won just one of her last three under the Bellator MMA banner, with that lone win coming over Taylor Turner at Bellator 225. Lara has previously challenged for the Bellator Women’s Flyweight Title, losing to Ilima-Lei Marcfarlane at Bellator 201. Lara has picked up eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them have come by way of submission.

Arteaga (5-3-0) is competing for the first time since losing a title bout to the aforementioned Macfarlane at Bellator 220. Arteaga has competed eight times as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them took place in Bellator MMA. Arteaga has picked up a total of five wins as a professional MMA fighter and three of them came by way of submission.

Bellator 235 takes place on Friday, December 20 from the Neil S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii with Josh Barnett and Ronny Markes headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
