Amanda Nunes will reportedly make consecutive UFC women's featherweight title defenses when she fights Megan Anderson at UFC 256.
Nunes (20-4) and Anderson (11-4) have agreed to a match-up at UFC 256, according to ESPN's Brett Okamoto. This would mark the first time "The Lioness" will compete in back-to-back featherweight fights under the UFC banner.
Nunes is riding a career-high 11-fight winning streak. Most recently, the champ-champ cruised to a one-sided decision over women's featherweight title challenger Felicia Spencer at UFC 250 in June. Nunes is arguably the all-time greatest female fighter, collecting the scalps of Cris Cyborg, Ronda Rousey, Holly Holm, Miesha Tate, Valentina Shevchenko (twice), Germaine de Randamie (twice) and Julia Budd.
Anderson enters the title fight off consecutive finishes of Norma Dumont Viana and Zarah Fairn Dos Santos. Anderson is 3-2 in the UFC and has lost to two of Nunes' past opponents: Spencer and Holm.
UFC 256 is expected to take place sometime in December.
