Report: Anatoly Tokov Faces Hracho Darpinyan At Bellator 229

A middleweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 229 according to RT Sport News as Anatoly Tokov is going to be in action against Hracho Darpinyan

Tokov (28-2-0) is undefeated thus far under the Bellator MMA banner, defeating the four pack of Francisco France, Vladimir Filipovic, Alexander Shlemenko and Gerald Harris. Tokov hasn’t suffered a defeat in over two years, with that last loss coming against UFC veteran Ramazan Emeev at M-1 Challenge 73. Tokov has picked up twenty eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of those victories came by way of KO/TKO.

Darpinyan (17-8-2) has competed once in Bellator MMA, fighting the aforementioned Harris to a majority draw at Bellator 210. Darpinyan hasn’t picked up a win in over two years, with that last victory coming against Boubacar Balde at Magnum FC 1. Darpinyan has suffered a total of eight losses as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them have come by way of decision. 

Bellator 229 takes place on Friday, October 4 from the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, California with Andrey Koreshkov and Lorenz Larkin headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
