Ewell (14-5-0) has won just one of two under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming against former UFC Bantamweight Champion Renan Barao at UFC Fight Night Sao Paulo. Ewell is a former CES MMA Bantamweight Champion, defeating Dinis Paiva by third round submission at CES MMA 50 to claim the gold. Ewell has picked up fourteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of those wins have come by way of KO/TKO.
Dos Santos (20-7-0) is winless thus far in UFC competition, dropping a bout to Nad Narimani via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires. Dos Santos is a former Thunder Fight and California Cage Wars Featherweight Champion, relinquishing both belts upon signing with the UFC. Dos Santos has picked up twenty wins as a professional MMA fighter and eleven of them have come by way of submission.
