A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC 246 as Andre Fili is going to be in action against Sodiq Yusuff.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, but its placement on the card isn’t known at this time.
Fili (20-6-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Myles Jury and Sheymon Moraes. Fili hasn’t suffered a defeat in over a year and that last loss came to Michael Johnson at UFC Fight Night Lincoln. Fili has picked up twenty wins as a professional MMA fighter and nine of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Yusuff (10-1-0) is undefeated under the UFC banner, with those victories coming over Suman Mokhtarian, Sheymon Moraes and Gabriel Benitez. Yusuff has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Luis Gomez at Titan FC 47. Yusuff also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 14, defeating Mike Davis by unanimous decision.
UFC 246 takes place on Saturday, January 18 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
