Aniah Blanchard, who is the stepdaughter of UFC fighter Walt Harris, was kidnapped by Ibraheem Yazeed on October 23 and her body was discovered a few days before Thanksgiving on November 25.
Documents obtained by the Montgomery Advertiser state that Blanchard “went for the gun” before ultimately being shot and killed by Yazeed.
“The subject further advised during a subsequent conversation with Yazeed, Yazeed admitted to shooting a girl, and stated the girl ‘went for the gun,'” according to the documents.
Evidence discovered in Blanchard’s vehicle had shown that Blanchard had suffered a life threatening injury during the kidnapping.
