MMA

Angela Hill was in need of a new opponent for UFC Fight Night Mexico City after the withdrawal of Istela Nunes and now she has one because Indiscutido is reporting that Ariane Carnelossi has accepted the short notice opportunity.

Hill (9-7-0) has won just three of eight during her second run in the UFC, with those wins coming over the trio of Ashley Yoder, Maryna Moroz and Jodie Esquibel. Hill is going to be competing for the fourth time in 2019, making her the most active female fighter in the UFC this year. Hill has competed sixteen times as a professional MMA fighter and eleven of those bouts went the distance.

Carnelossi (12-1-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this encounter and does so on the strength of a twelve fight winning streak. Carnelossi has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Amanda Ribas at Pentagon Combat 20 in September of 2014. Carnelossi has picked up twelve wins as a professional MMA fighter and eight of them have come by way of KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night Mexico City takes place on Saturday, September 21 from the Arena Ciudad De Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico with Yair Rodriguez and Jeremy Stephens headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
