UFC fighter Rachael Ostovich was allegedly attacked by her husband Arnold Berdon, leading to the fighter suffering a broken orbital bone in the process.
Hawaii News Now has obtained a video shot by a person who witnessed the attack and Berdon can apparently be heard telling Ostovich that he was going to murder her.
?I?m going to murder you,? Berdon allegedly said. ?I?m going to f*cking murder you.?
Ostovich has also filed for divorce from Berdon, who was also indicted by a grand jury in the last week. Berdon, who is currently out of jail on a $75,000 bond, is due back in court when the trial begins on February 18 of next year.
The UFC star was originally pulled from UFC Fight Night Brooklyn due to the attack, but the bout was put back on the card after Ostovich spoke with UFC President Dana White.
?Although this is a very difficult time for me and my family, I felt that this fight in January was important,? Ostovich said to KHON. ?I felt that it was extremely important to me to follow through with it ? not only for me, but first for my daughter and other people that might be going through similar situations. I want to take a stand against domestic violence and show others that it?s OK to come out and speak about it and not be quieted. I feel like I have to do this. This is something that can?t be taken away from me. I want to use this big, worldwide UFC platform to show people that, don?t let anyone or anything come between you and your dreams and your career.?
Berdon is allowed to visit his daughter twice a week, but all visits are supervised, as Berdon is also taking domestic violence classes as well.
