It has been nearly two years since the last time Artem Lobov has competed in a professional MMA fight, but that will all change this December at an Arena Fight Championship event when Lobov faces Ylies Djiroun.
The Mac Life first reported the news.
Lobov (13-15-1-1NC) enters the contest riding a three fight losing streak, with those losses coming to Cub Swanson, Andre Fili and Michael Johnson. Lobov hasn’t picked up a win in almost four years, with that last victory coming over Teruto Ishihara at UFC Fight Night 99. Lobov has competed 30 times as a professional MMA fighter and 20 of those bouts went to the judges scorecards.
Djiroun (17-6-0) has won just one of his last three entering this bout, with that lone win coming over Maxim Pugachev at XFN: Double Red Fight Night. Djiroun went winless during a stint in the PFL, dropping bouts to Islam Mamedov and Loik Radzhabov. Djiroun has suffered five of six losses by way of decision, with the other one coming by KO/TKO.
Arena Fight Championship 2 takes place on Saturday, December 12 from a location to be announced in Marsiglia, France with no main event announced at this time.
