Report: Aspen Ladd Faces Leslie Smith At April UFC Event

A women’s bantamweight division fight could be coming to an unannounced UFC event this April as #13 Leslie Smith could be fighting #14 Aspen Ladd.

Smith (10-7-1) enters the bout on the strength of a two fight winning steak, defeating the duo of Irene Aldana and Amanda Lemos. Smith has also competed in Invicta FC, defeating fellow UFC fighter Raquel Pennington at Invicta FC 4 in 2013. Smith has earned a total of four victories thus far in the UFC, with two coming by KO/TKO and two coming by way of decision.

Ladd (6-0-0) has only competed once thus far in the UFC, defeating Lina Lansberg by second round TKO at UFC Fight Night Gdansk. Ladd also competed in Invicta FC, where she holds a second round submission win over Amanda Bobby Cooper. Ladd has only seen one of her six professional MMA fights go the distance and that came against Sijara Eubanks at Invicta FC 21.

The yet to be announced UFC event is set for Saturday, April 21 from a location to be announced with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with brodcast plans yet to be announced.
