Report: Bellator 230 Brings In Lowest Viewership In Paramount TV Era

This past weekend, MMA fans were treated to a pair of events that aired on TV in the form of Bellator 230 and One Championship Century: Part One.

Everything kicked off with Bellator 230 on Saturday Night, which aired via tape delay on the Paramount Network and featured Vadim Nemkov scoring a second round submission win over former Bellator MMA Middleweight Champion Rafael Carvalho in the main event.

A report from MMA Fighting is stating that the Bellator 230 card brought in 202,000 viewers, which is the lowest viewership number in history for Bellator MMA on the Paramount Network. Other bouts on the card saw Dragos Zubko defeat Hesdy Gerges, Kirill Sidelnikov defeat Domingos Barros and Walter Pugliese defeat Andrea Fusi.

The second half of the MMA double header was One Championship Century: Part One on TNT, which featured Angela Lee defeating Xiong Jing Nan in the main event and it brought in 264,000 viewers. Other bouts on the main card saw Demetrious Johnson defeat Danny Kingad, Christian Lee defeat Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev and Janet Todd defeat Ekaterina Vandaryeva.

Both Bellator MMA and One Championship are event free this weekend, by the UFC returns to ESPN 2 tonight with UFC Fight Night Boston, which features former UFC Middleweight Champion Chris Weidman and Dominick Reyes in the main event.
