A bantamweight division clash has been added to UFC Fight Night Sacramento according to Farah Hannoun as Benito Lopez is going to be in action against Martin Day.
Lopez (9-1-0) has won just one of two fights under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming against Albert Morales at UFC Fight Night Fresno. Lopez also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 7, defeating Steven Peterson by way of split decision. Lopez has seen four of his professional MMA bouts go the distance and the fighter picked up victories in all of those encounters.
Day (8-3-0) is winless thus far in UFC competition, dropping a bout to Pingyuan Liu via split decision at UFC Fight Night Beijing. Day competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 6, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Jaime Alvarez. Day has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and two of those defeats have come by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night Sacramento takes place on Saturday, July 13 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
