A change has apparently been made to next weekends UFC Fight Night Austin card as Brandon Davis is allegedly replacing an injured Humberto Bandenay against Steven Peterson.

It was Davis who made the announcement via Instagram:

Conor McGregor vs Michael Chandler Officially Announced For UFC 303, Will Take Place At Welterweight

Peterson (16-6-0) actually suffered a defeat on DWTNCS Episode 7 to Benito Lopez and that loss came by way of decision. Peterson is a longtime veteran of the Legacy Fighting Championship and Legacy Fighting Alliance, earning notable wins over Matt Hobar, Caio Machado, Ryan Hollis and Dustin Winter. Peterson had challenged for the LFA Bantamweight Title, losing to Bellator MMA fighter Leandro Higo at LFA 1.

Davis (8-3-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, dropping a unanimous decision to Kyle Bochniak at UFC 220. Davis also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 4, defeating Austin Arnett by unanimous decision. Davis is competing for the second time in less than a month, as UFC 220 took place on January 20 of this year.

UFC Fight Night Austin takes place on Sunday, February 18 from the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas with Donald Cerrone and Yancy Medeiros headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
