Report: Brandon Davis Steps In To Fight Zabit Magomedsharipov At UFC 228

After a brief wait, an opponent has been found to replace Yair Rodriguez and face Zabit Magomedsharipov, with that person being Brandon Davis according to Flo Combat.

Magomedsharipov (15-1-0) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, having defeated the trio of Mike SantiagoSheymon Moraes and Kyle Bochniak. Magomedsharipov hasn?t suffered a defeat in over five years, with that last loss coming to Igor Egorov at Pro FC 47. Magomedsharipov also competed six times in the Absolute Championship Berkut promotion, winning six of six fights while in the organization.

Davis (9-4-0) has won just one of three in UFC competition, with that lone victory coming over Steven Peterson at UFC Fight Night Austin. Davis also competed on Dana White?s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 4, defeating Austin Arnett by unanimous decision. Davis is competing for the fourth time this year, which is the most active he has been as a professional MMA fighter since turning pro in 2014.
