A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Lincoln as Brett Johns is in action against Montel Jackson.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Johns (16-2-0) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Tony Gravely at UFC Fight Night Raleigh. Johns has suffered two losses as a professional MMA fighter and both of them came in UFC competition. Johns is a former Cage Warriors and Titan Fighting Championship Bantamweight Champion, but he relinquished both titles upon signing with the UFC.
Jackson (9-1-0) enters the contest riding a three fight winning streak, defeating the trio of Brian Kelleher, Andre Soukhamthath and Felipe Dias Corales. Jackson has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Ricky Simon at UFC 227. Jackson also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 9, defeating Rico DiSciullo by third round TKO.
UFC Fight Night Lincoln takes place on Saturday, April 25 from the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska with Anthony Smith and Glover Teixeira headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
