Former UFC Heavyweight Champion and current WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is expected to return to the UFC sometime this year after serving a suspension in line with a failed drug test at UFC 200.
Lesnar will complete serving the suspension in just two days (1/8/19), but still has to pay a fine of $250,000 to the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC). That fine was levied against Lesnar alongside the suspension for the failed drug test, but no payments towards the fine have been made at this time.
NSAC Executive Director Bob Bennett told MMA Weekly in the summer of 2018 that Lesnar wouldn?t be able to fight in the state of Nevada again if that fine isn?t paid:
?(Lesnar) is still suspended based on his fine. He is required to pay the fine or set up a payment plan with the Attorney General?s Office (to get cleared from the suspension).?
The former UFC Heavyweight Champion is expected to challenge current heavyweight kingpin Daniel Cormier for the gold when he does return to action. The two got face to face at UFC 226, when Lesnar shoved Cormier after DC defeated Stipe Miocic to win the title by first round knockout.
