Next weeks Bellator 227 card has taken a hit because Cal Ellenor has suffered an injury and has been pulled from a bout against James Gallagher according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN.

There is no word yet on the nature of the injury suffered by Ellenor or how long the fighter is expected to be out of action for. Gallagher is expected to remain on the card at this time, as Bellator MMA officials are seeking a replacement opponent for him to fight.

Gallagher (9-1-0) enters the contest on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Jeremiah Labiano and Steven Graham. Gallagher has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came against Ricky Bandejas at Bellator 204. Gallagher has competed ten times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance.

Bellator 227 takes place on Friday, September 27 from the 3 Arena in Dublin, Ireland with Ben Henderson and Myles Jury headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs via tape delay on the Paramount Network.
