Report: Carlo Pedersoli Jr. Injured, Bellator 239 Bout Canceled

Carlo Pedersoli Jr. and Mark Lemminger were scheduled to compete later this month at Bellator 239, but the bout is reportedly off due to an undisclosed injury to Pedersoli Jr.

Lemminger posted the following on his Facebook page:

“Got the news yesterday that my opponent for Bellator 239 pulled out due to injury. Working on getting refunds for the people who bought tickets to watch my fight. Bellator is working on getting me a fight in March, I’ll keep everyone posted. little set back but it’s part of the game.”

The fighter stated that Bellator MMA is looking to reschedule him for an event this March, with the promotion’s lone event for that month being Bellator 241 on March 13. There is no word at this time as to the bout with Pedersoli Jr. will get rescheduled for March or of Lemminger will get a new opponent. 

Bellator 239 takes place on Saturday, February 21 from the Winstar World Resort & Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma with Ed Ruth and Yaroslav Amosov headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
