Report: Casey Kenney Replaces Kyler Phillips At UFC Fight Night Philadelphia

Kyler Phillips has been removed from UFC Fight Night Philadelphia according to MMA Junkie, replacing him against Ray Borg is going to be Casey Kenney.

Borg (11-3-0) has won two of his last three under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over the duo of Louis Smolka and Jussier Formiga. Borg has previously challenge for the UFC Flyweight Title, losing to then champion Demetrious Johnson at UFC 216. Borg is also returning to competition after a year-plus layoff, as his last bout took place in October of 2017.

Kenney (11-1-1) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a four fight winning streak. Kenney competed twice before on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, defeating CJ Hamilton on Episode 2 and losing to Adam Antolin at Episode 8. Kenney was the first fighter to hold two belts simultaneously in the LFA, holding the promotions flyweight and bantamweight gold.

UFC Fight Night Philadelphia takes place on Saturday, March 30 from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with Edson Barboza and Justin Gaethje headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
