A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Rochester according to MMA Junkie as #12 Charles Oliveira is going to be in action for a third time against Nik Lentz.
Oliveira (26-8-0-1NC) enters the contest riding a four fight winning streak, last defeating David Teymur by second round submission at UFC Fight Night Fortaleza. Oliveira holds a victory over Lentz in their second bout at UFC Fight Night 67, while their initial meeting at UFC On Versus IV was overturned to a no contest. Oliveira has competed thirty five times as a professional MMA fighter and only three of his bouts have gone the distance.
Lentz (30-9-2-1NC) comes into the bout while riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Gray Maynard and Scott Holtzman. Lentz hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost a year, with that last loss coming to the aforementioned Teymur at UFC Fight Night Utica. Lentz has suffered nine losses as a professional MMA fighter and more than half of them came by way of decision.
UFC Fight Night Rochester takes place on Saturday, May 18 from the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York with Kevin Lee and Rafael Dos Anjos headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
