A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana as Chris Gutierrez faces Luke Sanders.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who?s spot on the card isn?t known at this time.
Gutierrez (15-4-1) enters the contest riding a three fight winning streak, picking up wins over Ryan MacDonald, Geraldo De Freitas Jr. and Vince Morales. Gutierrez hasn?t suffered a defeat in almost two years, with that last loss coming to Roani Barcelos at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale. Gutierrez has picked up fifteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and fourteen of them have come by a combination of KO/TKO or decision.
Sanders (13-3-0) has won two of his last five under the UFC banner, with those wins coming over Patrick Williams and Renan Barao. Sanders is returning to action for the first time in over a year, as his last bout came in February of last year. Sanders has picked up thirteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night: Holm vs. Aldana takes place on Saturday, August 1 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Holly Holm and Irene Aldana headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
