Report: Chris Gutierrez Faces Vince Morales At UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns

A bantamweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns as Chris Gutierrez faces Vince Morales.

MMA Fighting first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.

Gutierrez (14-4-1) enters the contest riding a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Ryan MacDonald and Geraldo De Freitas Jr. Gutierrez hasn’t suffered a defeat in almost two years, with that last loss coming to Raoni Barcelos at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale. Gutierrez has picked up fourteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and half of them came by way of decision.

Morales (9-4-0) has won just one of three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Aiemann Zahabi at UFC Fight Night Ottawa. Morales also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 13, suffering a second round submission loss to Domingo Pilarte. Morales has picked up nine wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Burns takes place on Saturday, May 30 from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada with Tyron Woodley and Gilbert Burns headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
