Report: Cole Smith Faces Miles Johns At UFC Fight Night Vancouver

A bantamweight division bout has been added to UFC Fight Night Vancouver according to Flo Combat as Cole Smith is going to be in action against Miles Johns.

Smith (7-0-0) has picked up a single win thus far under the UFC banner and that came over Mitch Gagnon at UFC Fight Night Ottawa. Smith is a former Battlefield Fight League Bantamweight Champion, defeating Jamie Siraj to win the gold at BFL 46. Smith has competed seven times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went to the judges scorecards.

Johns (8-0-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted almost four years. Johns competed on Dana White’s Contender Series Season 3, Episode 2, defeating Richie Santiago by unanimous decision. Johns is also a former Legacy Fighting Alliance Bantamweight Champion, but he relinquished the gold upon signing with the UFC.

UFC Fight Night Vancouver takes place on Saturday, September 14 from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada with Donald Cerrone and Justin Gaethje headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which will stream live on ESPN+.
