A women’s strawweight division bout has been added to UFC 227 according to Lance Pugmire of the LA Times as Danielle Taylor faces Weili Zhang.
Taylor (9-3-0) has won two of four fights under the UFC banner, with those victories coming over Seo Hee Ham and Jessica Penne. Taylor has seen all four of her UFC bouts go the distance and it has been over two years since the fighter got a finish. Taylor is also a former two time King Of The Cage Women’s Strawweight Champion, defeating Glena Avila and Jamie Colleen to start both reigns.
Zhang (16-1-0) is going to be making her UFC debut in this bout and does so while riding a sixteen fight winning streak. Zhang has spent the last two-plus years competing in the Kunlun Fight promotion, winning eleven fights in the organization. Zhang has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to Meng Bo at a China MMA League event in November of 2013.
