A lightweight division battle has been added to UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires according to El Comercio as Devin Powell is going to be in action against Claudio Puelles.
Powell (9-3-0) has won just one of three bouts under the UFC banner and that lone win came over Alvaro Herrera at UFC On Fox 30. Powell also competed once in the World Series Of Fighting, defeating Tom Marcellino by split decision at WSOF 31. Powell has suffered three defeats as a professional MMA fighter and all of those losses have come by way of decision.
Puelles (8-2-0) is looking to build on the momentum of his first UFC win, which came over Felipe Silva by third round submission at UFC Fight Night Chile. Puelles has competed ten times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance. Puelles is also a veteran of the 300 Sparta promotion, winning all four fights he competed at within the organization.
UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires takes place on Saturday, November 17 from Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina with Neil Magny and Santiago Ponzinibbio headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
