Report: Eddie Hearn Offers Deontay Wilder $12.5 Million For Anthony Joshua Fight

If WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder does accept a fight offer to face off against WBA, WBO, IBO and IBF champion Anthony Joshua, not only would it be the biggest fight of Wilder's career, it would be the biggest payday of Wilder's career.

According to Adam Abramowitz, Matchroom Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn, who promotes Joshua, offered Wilder $12.5 million to take the fight, which would crown boxing's next undisputed heavyweight champion.

Hearn and Joshua had been discussing what offer to give Wilder in order to make the fight a reality. Both Wilder and Joshua retained their respective heavyweight titles in March. Wilder retained his title with a stoppage win over Luis Ortiz in Brooklyn, New York while Joshua unified the aforementioned four world titles when he got a unanimous decision victory over former world champion Joseph Parker in Cardiff, Wales.

Both Wilder and Joshua have been in a heated verbal rivalry, trying to goad each other into a fight. Wilder has been calling out both Joshua and Hearn since late last year, even telling Fightful that Joshua is not all too eager to fight Wilder. Should a fight between Wilder and Joshua not happen, Joshua could be facing Alexander Povetkin as he is the mandatory challenger to Joshua's WBA heavyweight title.
