A bantamweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 215 according to MMA Fighting as Eduardo Dantas is going to be in action against Manny Vazquez.
Dantas (20-6-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the duo of Michael McDonald and Darrion Caldwell. Dantas hasn’t picked up a win in almost two years, with that last victory coming at Bellator 177 in April of 2017. Dantas is a former Bellator MMA Bantamweight Champion, defeating Marcos Galvao and Zach Makovsky to start both reigns.
Vazquez (12-3-0) is currently undefeated under the Bellator MMA banner, defeating Nate Williams by unanimous decision at Bellator 175. Vazquez also competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 1, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Joby Sanchez. Vazquez has also previously challenged for the Legacy Fighting Championship Bantamweight Title, losing to then champion Steven Peterson by way of fourth round submission at Legacy Fighting Championship 56.
Bellator 215 takes place on Friday, February 15 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Matt Mitrione and Sergei Kharitonov headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
