Report: Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao 2 Negotiations In "Advanced Stages"

Floyd Mayweather?s recent Instagram post on a possible second fight against Manny Pacquiao appears to not just be all smoke and mirrors after all.

According to Mike Coppinger, talks of a rematch between the two boxers are in advance stages with contracts expected to be out this week. If a fight does in fact get made, the bout will likely take place in Las Vegas and that two target dates are December 1 and December 8.

A Mayweather return could likely end up on Showtime as a pay-per-view, where Mayweather had his last seven fights. The fight would be for Pacquiao?s WBA ?regular? welterweight title, making it Pacquiao?s first title defense since winning this summer with a knockout victory over the now-former champion Lucas Matthysse.

This comes a couple of days after Mayweather made a post on his Instagram account saying that he is in fact coming back for ?another 9 figure pay day.? Mayweather and Pacquiao then met at an Ultra event in Tokyo, where they had a face off of sorts.

If Mayweather does come back and defeat Pacquiao, his pro record would reach 51-0, which would tie the win-loss record of current WBC minimumweight champion Wanheng Menayothin, who broke a tie with Mayweather back in August with a win over Pedro Taduran to retain the WBC title.

Mayweather and Pacquiao fought in 2015 in a fight that shattered pay-per-view records at the time with approximately 4.6 million buys. Mayweather defeated Pacquiao by unanimous decision to win the unified WBA ?super,? WBC, WBO and Ring Magazine welterweight titles.
