According to a report from MMA Junkie, UFC Fight Night Sacramento finally has a main event in place.
In a clash of highly ranked Women's Bantamweight contenders, Germaine de Randamie is set to take on Aspen Ladd over five rounds on July 13th. A former Women's Featherweight Champion, de Randamie (8-3) was infamously stripped of her title without ever making a defense, memorably rejecting a fight opposite Cris Cyborg. Instead, de Randamie has since returned to Bantamweight, outpointing Raquel Pennington and swiftly earning #1 position in the division's official UFC rankings.
Ladd (8-0) isn't without her own success though, tallying an undefeated 8-0 record including three straight wins inside the octagon. Since arriving in the UFC, Ladd has scored stoppage victories over Lina Lansberg and Tonya Evinger and most recently, defeated Sijara Eubanks in a memorable 3 round affair. Though just seven months into her UFC career, Ladd is already ranked 4th in the promotion's Women's Bantamweight standings.
UFC Fight Night Sacramento takes place at the Golden 1 Center on July 13th. The event airs on ESPN+ and was recently bolstered by the addition of Urijah Faber's comeback fight against Ricky Simon. It's full card can be found below:
