A heavyweight division attraction has been added to a yet to be announced UFC card on June 27 as Gian Villante faces Maurice Greene.
MMA Fighting first reported the bout, who?s spot on the card isn?t known at this time.
Villante (17-11-0) has won two of his last five in the UFC, with those wins coming over Francimar Barroso and Ed Herman. Villante is making his heavyweight division debut in this encounter, having previously competed at light heavyweight. Villante has suffered eleven losses as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to be beaten by way of submission.
Greene (8-4-0) enters the contest on a two fight losing streak, dropping bouts to Sergei Pavlovich and Alexei Oleinik. Greene hasn?t picked up a win in almost a year, with that last victory coming in June of last year. Greene has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came to UFC/Bellator MMA veterans.
The yet to be announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, June 27 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
