A women’s flyweight division attraction has been added to the June 20 UFC card as #15 Cortney Casey faces Gillian Robertson.
Ariel Helwani of ESPN first reported the news, but the bouts spot of the card isn’t known at this time.
Casey (9-7-0) has been undefeated since moving up to flyweight, having defeated Mara Romero Borella by first round submission at UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs. Harris. Casey had previously competed at strawweight in the UFC, earning an overall record of 5-6-0 in the promotion. Casey has suffered seven losses as a professional MMA fighter and six of them have come by way of decision.
Robertson (7-4-0) has won two of her last four in the UFC, with those wins coming over Veronica Macedo and Sarah Frota. Robertson hasn’t picked up a win in almost a year, with that last victory coming at UFC 240 in July of last year. Robertson has picked up seven wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them came by way of submission.
The yet to be announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, June 20 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
