Report: Glover Teixeira Faces Ion Cutelaba At UFC Fight Night Miami

A light heavyweight division attraction has been re-booked for UFC Fight Night Miami according to Combate as #11 Glover Teixeira faces Ion Cutelaba. The duo were supposed to collide for the first time at UFC Fight Night Brooklyn, but Cutelaba was pulled from the fight due to injury.

Teixeira (28-7-0) has rotated wins and losses in his last six UFC appearances, with his latest bout being a first round submission win over Karl Roberson at UFC Fight Night Brooklyn. Teixeira has previously challenged for the UFC Light Heavyweight Title, losing to then champion Jon Jones at UFC 172. Teixeira has picked up twenty eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and seventeen of them have come by way of KO/TKO.

Cutelaba (14-3-0-1NC) enters the bout on the strength of a two fight winning streak, defeating the duo of Henrique Da Silva and Gadzhimurad Antigulov. Cutelaba has picked up fourteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and eleven of those wins have come by way of KO/TKO. Cutelaba has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter, but he has yet to be beaten by way of KO/TKO.

UFC Fight Night Miami takes place on Saturday, April 27 from the American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida with Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on ESPN.
