There has been no statement yet issued by the UFC or Skelly as to why the featherweight division bout was canned. It is unknown at this time as to which bout is going to be moved from the ESPN+ portion of the preliminary card to replace the Dawson/Skelly fight on the ESPN portion of the preliminary card.

UFC 246 takes place on Saturday, January 18 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Conor McGregor and Donald Cerrone headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
