The historic one hundredth UFC Fight Night event apparently has its main event fight and it will be taking place at light heavyweight as Alexander Gustafsson takes on Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
Combate first reported the potential main event, Gustafsson has won just one of his last three in the UFC, that lone win came over Jan Blachowicz at UFC Fight Night 93. Nogueira has also won just one of his last three in the UFC, with his lone win coming over Patrick Cummings at UFC 198.
Gustafsson will be headlining his sixth UFC event (UFC On Fuel TV II, UFC 165, UFC Fight Night 37, UFC On Fox 14 and UFC 192 being the others), while Nogueira will be headlining his second UFC event (UFC Fight Night 24 being the other).
This pairing between Gustafsson and Nogueira has been booked before, but Noggueira pulled out the first time and was replaced by Thiago Silva at UFC On Fuel TV II, while Nogueira pulled out a second time at UFC Fight Night 37 and he was replaced by Jimi Manuwa.
Also, UFC Fight Night 100 will be part of a UFC double header because UFC Fight Night 99 from Ireland, headlined by Gunnar Nelson versus Dong Hyun Kim, plus Bellator will be holding an event with Michael Chandler and Ben Henderson headlining all on the same day.
UFC Fight Night 100 will be taking place on Saturday, November 19th from the Ginasio Do Ibiraluera in Sao Paulo, Brazil with Gustafsson and Nogueira headlining.
