A featherweight division clash has been added to Bellator 227 according to MMA Fighting as Ilias Bulaid is going to be in action against Vitalic Maiboroda.
Bulaid (0-0-0) is not only making his Bellator MMA debut in this bout, but is going to be making a professional MMA debut as well. Bulaid has competed over a hundred times as a professional kickboxer and currently holds a record of 157-9-2. Bulaid has also held gold as a professional kickboxer, as he is a former Enfusion World Champion at 67kg.
Maiboroda (0-0-0) is in the same boat as Bulaid, as the fighter is making both his professional and Bellator MMA debut in this bout. Maiboroda is a longtime muay thai fighter and has been training out of the Mad Dog Muay Thai Camp in Greece. Maiboroda has no amateur MMA experience to speak of either, making this his first MMA bout of any kind.
Bellator 227 takes place on Friday, September 27 from the 3 Arena in Dublin, Ireland with Ben Henderson and Myles Jury headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs via tape delay on the Paramount Network.
