Report: Injuries Cause Changes To 4 Combate Americas: Tito vs. Alberto Bouts

This weekends Combate Americas: Tito vs. Alberto card has undergone some changes as Joao Camillo replaces Joby Sanchez against Daniel Barez, while Anali Lopez Hernandez replaces Marisol Ruelas against Dulce Garcia, plus Rey Trujillo replaces Angel Cruz against Gaston Reyno and Clarence Brown replaces Ismael Bonfim against Jose Flores. 

MMA Fighting reported the changes, but three of the bouts will still on the main card, while Brown/Flores will stay on the preliminary card.

Barez (10-4-0) is making his Combate Americas debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a four fight winning streak. Camillo (6-3-0) is undefeated in Combate Americas competition, defeating the trio of Joe Madrid, Alberto Trujillo and Jamie Alvarez. 

Garcia (1-0-0) made her professional MMA debut earlier this year at Combate 35, defeating Mariana Ruiz Avila by unanimous decision. Hernandez (0-0-0) is making both her professional MMA and Combate Americas debut at this event.

Reyno (8-2-0-2NC) is undefeated thus far in Combate Americas, having defeated Carlos Ochoa by first round submission at Combate Americas: Road To Copa Combate. Trujillo (23-27-0) enters the contest while riding a seven fight losing streak and he hasn’t won a bout in almost two years. 

Flores (8-1-0) competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 8, suffering a second round submission loss to Matt Frevola. Brown (1-3-0) is competing for the fourth time this year and the fighter went 1-2-0 in those previous three bouts. 

Combate Americas: Ortiz vs. Del Rio takes place on Saturday, December 7 from the Payne Arena in Hidalgo, Texas with Tito Ortiz and Alberto Del Rio headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on pay-per-view.
