Report: Isaiah Chapman Replaces Dominic Mazzotta At Bellator 232

Dominic Mazzotta has suffered an injury and has been pulled from Bellator 232, replacing him against Patrick Mix is Isaiah Chapman.

My MMA News first reported the story, but didn’t reveal the nature of Mazzotta’s injury or how long the fighter is expected to be out of action for.

Mix (11-0-0) has competed once before under the Bellator MMA banner, defeating Ricky Bandejas by first round submission at Bellator 222. Mix is a longtime veteran of the King Of The Cage promotion, where nine of his eleven professional MMA wins took place at. Mix has picked up eleven victories as a professional MMA fighter and seven of them have come by way of submission.

Chapman (7-3-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this bout and is also returning to action for the first time in over two years. Chapman has previously challenged for the NAAFS Flyweight Title, losing to then champion Bryan Goldsby at NAAFS Caged Vengeance 13. Chapman also competed once in the World Series Of Fighting, suffering a decision loss to Timur Valiev at the WSOF 13. 

Bellator 232 takes place on Saturday, October 26 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Rory MacDonald and Douglas Lima headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on the Paramount Network.
