A bantamweight division encounter has been added to UFC Fight Night Lincoln according to Adriano Albuquerque of Combate as Iuri Alcantara faces Cory Sandhagen.
Alcantara (35-9-0-1NC) has won just one of his last three under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Joe Soto at UFC Fight Night Belem. Alcantara has suffered a total of six losses in UFC competition, with five of those defeats coming by way of decision. Alcantara also competed once in the WEC, defeating fellow UFC fighter Ricardo Lamas by first round knockout at WEC 53.
Sandhagen (8-1-0) is currently undefeated thus far during his brief UFC tenure, having defeated Austin Arnett by second round TKO at UFC On Fox 27. Sandhagen has suffered just a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to DWTNCS alumni Jamal Emmers at Legacy Fighting Alliance 5. Sandhagen also won three of four bouts during his time as an amateur MMA fighter, with two of those wins coming by KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night Lincoln takes place on Saturday, August 25 from the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska with Justin Gaethje and James Vick headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox Sports 1.
