A welterweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Tampa according to Mike Heck as James Vick is going to be in action against Niko Price.
Vick (13-4-0) is going to be making his UFC Welterweight Division debut in this bout, having previously competed at lightweight as a professional MMA fighter. Vick will enter the contest while in the midst of a three fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the trio of Justin Gaethje, Paul Felder and Dan Hooker. Vick hasn?t picked up a win in almost two years, with that last victory coming over Francisco Trinaldo at UFC Fight Night Austin.
Price (13-3-0-1NC) has rotated wins and losses in his last four UFC bouts, with the latest fight being a second round TKO loss to Geoff Neal at UFC 240. Price has suffered a total of three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came in UFC competition. Price has competed a total of seventeen times as a professional MMA fighter and just one of those bouts went to the judges scorecards.
UFC Fight Night Tampa takes place on Saturday, October 12 from the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida with Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Michelle Waterson headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
