A featherweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night San Diego as Jared Gordon faces Matt Sayles.
MMA Junkie first reported the bout, who’s spot on the card isn’t known at this time.
Gordon (15-4-0) has won just one of his last four under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over Dan Moret at UFC Fight Night Minneapolis. Gordon hasn’t picked up a victory in just about a year, as the aforementioned win over Moret came in June of last year. Gordon has suffered four losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Sayles (8-3-0) has won one of three during his UFC tenure and that lone win came over Kyle Nelson at UFC Fight Night Ottawa. Sayles competed on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 10, defeating Yazan Hajeh by first round TKO. Sayles has picked up eight wins as a professional MMA fighter and six of them came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night San Diego takes place on Saturday, May 16 from the Pechanga Arena in San Diego, California with Dustin Poirier and Dan Hooker headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on ESPN+.
