Stephens (28-17-0-1NC) enters the contest on a three fight losing streak, dropping bouts to the trio of Jose Aldo, Yair Rodriguez and Zabit Magomedsharipov. Stephens hasn’t picked up a win in almost two years, with that last victory coming over Josh Emmett at UFC On Fox 28. Stephens has suffered seventeen losses as a professional MMA fighter and twelve of them have come by way of decision.

Kattar (20-4-0) has won two of his last four in the UFC, with those victories coming over Chris Fishgold and Ricardo Lamas. Kattar has previously headlined one UFC event, which was a decision loss to the aforementioned Magomedsharipov at UFC Fight Night Moscow. Kattar has competed a total of twenty four times as a professional MMA fighter and eleven of those bouts went the distance.

UFC 248 takes place on Saturday, March 8 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with no main event announced at this time. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
