A women’s flyweight division attraction has been added to UFC 232 according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as #2 Sijara Eubanks faces #8 Jessica Eye.
Eubanks (3-2-0) is currently undefeated under the UFC banner, having defeated Lauren Murphy by unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Utica. Eubanks was supposed to challenge for the UFC Women’s Flyweight Title at the UFC Ultimate Fighter 26 Finale, but she pulled out of the fight due to health concerns with weight cutting. Eubanks also won two of three in the Invicta FC promotion, with those wins coming over the duo of Gina Begley and AmberLynn Orr.
Eye (13-6-0-1NC) has been undefeated since dropping to the flyweight division, defeating the duo of Kalindra Faria and Jessica-Rose Clark. Eye has previously competed as a bantamweight in the UFC, earning a record of 1-5-0-1NC in that weight class. Eye has seen her last six fights go the distance and it has been nearly four years since the fighter got a finish.
