A lightweight division attraction has been added to UFC Fight Night Stockholm according to Sherdog as Joel Alvarez is going to be in action against Danilo Belluardo.
Alvarez (15-2-0) is currently winless under the UFC banner, having dropped a fight to Damir Ismagulov via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night Prague. Alvarez has competed seventeen times as a professional MMA fighter and has seen just one of those bouts go the distance. Alvarez has picked up fifteen wins as a professional MMA fighter and fourteen of them have come by way of submission.
Belluardo (12-3-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this bout and does so on the strength of a six fight winning streak. Belluardo competed once under the Bellator MMA banner, suffering a first round TKO loss to AJ McKee at Bellator 152. Belluardo has suffered three losses as a professional MMA fighter and all of them came by way of KO/TKO.
UFC Fight Night Stockholm takes place on Saturday, June 1 from the Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden with Alexander Gustafsson and Anthony Smith headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which is going to be streaming live on ESPN+.
