A bantamweight division attraction has been added to Bellator 232 according to MMA Junkie as John Douma is going to be in action against Jornel Lugo.
Douma (4-1-0) is undefeated thus far in Bellator MMA competition, defeating Mike Kimbel by first round submission at Bellator 215. Douma has suffered a single defeat as a professional MMA fighter and that came to WSOF veteran Adam Acquaviva at CES MMA 50. Douma has competed five times as a professional MMA fighter and none of those encounters went to the judges scorecards.
Lugo (2-0-0) is going to be making his Bellator MMA debut in this encounter and does so with an undefeated streak that has lasted less than six months. Lugo’s previous two professional MMA bouts came in the CES MMA promotion, defeating Joshua Oxendine and Harris Bonfiglio. Lugo has picked up eight wins as a professional/amateur MMA fighter and half of those victories came against fighters who entered their fight with an undefeated record.
Bellator 232 takes place on Saturday, October 26 from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut with Rory MacDonald and Douglas Lima headlining. Fightful is going to be providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on DAZN.
