A bantamweight division attraction has been added to an October One Championship card according to Lineker himself as John Lineker is going to be in action against Muin Gafurov.
Lineker (31-9-0) is going to be making his One Championship debut in this bout and does so having won two of his last three bouts. Lineker is coming off of an extended run in the UFC, picking up an overall record of 12-4-0 in the promotion. Lineker is going to be competing outside of the UFC for the first time in over eight years, with his last non-UFC appearance coming at Jungle Fight 32 in September of 2011.
Gafurov (15-2-0) enters the contest while in the midst of a five fight winning streak and he hasn’t been defeated in almost three years. Gafurov has won three of five bouts under the One Championship banner, with those wins coming against Casey Suire, Toni Tauru and Leandro Issa. Gafurov has competed seventeen times as a professional MMA fighter and just two of those bouts went the distance.
The yet to be announced One Championship card takes place on Friday, October 25 from a location to be announced in Jakarta, Indonesia with no main event announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which streams live on Bleacher Report Live.
