A middleweight division attraction has been added to a yet to be announced UFC card on July 18 as #6 Jack Hermansson faces #7 Kelvin Gastelum.
Brett Okamoto of ESPN first reported the fight, who?s spot on the card isn?t known at this time.
Hermansson (20-5-0) has won four of his last five in the UFC, with those wins coming over Thales Leites, Gerald Meerschaert, David Branch and Ronaldo Souza. Hermansson hasn?t picked up a victory in over a year, with that last win coming at UFC Fight Night Fort Lauderdale in April of 2019. Hermansson has picked up twenty wins as a professional MMA fighter and eleven of them came by way of KO/TKO.
Gastelum (15-5-0-1NC) enters the contest riding a two fight losing streak, dropping fights to Israel Adesanya and Darren Till. Gastelum hasn?t earned a victory in over two years, with that last one coming over Ronaldo Souza at UFC 224. Gastelum was the winner of the UFC Ultimate Fighter 17, defeating Uriah Hall in the finals.
The yet to be announced UFC card takes place on Saturday, July 18 from a location to be announced and with a main event to be announced. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
