Report: Kevin Lee vs. Al Iaquinta II Headlines UFC On Fox 31

A lightweight division rematch is going to be headlining the UFC on Fox 31 card according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as #5 Kevin Lee again faces #9 Al Iaquinta.

Lee (17-3-0) has won six of his last seven bouts under the UFC banner, with the latest bout being a unanimous decision win over Edson Barboza in the main event of UFC Fight Night Atlantic City. Lee has won two of three main event bouts in the UFC, with those victories coming at the aforementioned UFC Fight Night Atlantic City card and at UFC Fight Night Oklahoma City, Lee has previously challenged for the UFC Interim Lightweight Title, suffering a third round submission loss to then champion Tony Ferguson at UFC 216.

Iaquinta (13-4-1) won the initial meeting between himself and Lee, with that win coming by way of unanimous decision at UFC 169. Iaquinta has previously challenged for the UFC Lightweight Title, losing to champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223. Iaquinta is also competing on his first UFC On Fox card, despite having been with the promotion for over six years.

UFC On Fox 31 takes place on Saturday, December 15 from the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with Kevin Lee and Al Iaquinta headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, which airs live on Fox.
