A light heavyweight division bout has been added to UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires according to Ariel Helwani of ESPN as Khalil Rountree faces Johnny Walker.
Rountree (7-2-0-1NC) has won three of his last four heading into this encounter, with those wins coming over the trio of Daniel Jolly, Paul Craig and Gokhan Saki. Rountree also won just one of two while competing on the UFC Ultimate Fighter 23, with that lone victory coming over Josh Stansbury. Rountree has picked up seven wins as a professional MMA fighter and five of them have come by way of KO/TKO.
Walker (13-3-0) is going to be making his UFC debut in this fight and does so on the strength of a five bout winning streak. Walker is also a knockout artist, like his opponent in Rountree, with eleven of the fighters wins coming by KO/TKO. Walker hasn’t suffered a defeat in over two years, with that last loss coming to Henrique Silva Lopes at Jungle Fight 88.
UFC Fight Night Buenos Aires takes place on Saturday, November 17 from Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina with Neil Magny and Santiago Ponzinibbio headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, while broadcast plans have yet to be announced.
