A lightweight division attraction is heading to UFC 226 according to Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Review-Journal as Lando Vannata faces Drakkar Klose.

Vannata (9-2-1) has won just one of four fights under the UFC banner, with that lone win coming over John Makdessi via knockout at UFC 206. Vannata hasn’t won a fight in well over a year, as that aforementioned victory over Makdessi came in December of 2016. Vannata signed with the UFC in 2016, but did earn a victory over Bellator MMA veteran JP Reese before coming to the promotion.

Klose (8-1-1) is looking to rebound from his first professional MMA defeat, which came to David Teymur at UFC 218 in late 2017. Klose has seen his last five fights go the distance and it has been almost three years since the competitor got a finish. Klose also went undefeated during his time as an amateur MMA fighter, earning three of those four wins by way of KO/TKO.

UFC 226 takes place on Saturday, July 7 from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada with Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier headlining. Fightful is providing live coverage of the event, with a post-show podcast to follow.
